Steve’s Rib opening second location in east Edmond

EDMOND – A longtime barbecue restaurant is opening a second location on the city’s east side.

Steve’s Rib is moving into 1,500 square feet in the Shoppes at Fox Lake, 941 W. I-35 Frontage Rd. The Buffalo Wild Wings on Interstate 35 sits in front of the center. Price Edwards & Co. broker George Williams handled the transaction.

Steve’s Rib existing restaurant is at 1801 W. Edmond Rd. It opened in 1988. Co-owner Karen Seikel said the restaurant’s east-side customers have been requesting a location closer to I-35.

“They say it’s hard for them to go to west Edmond,” she said. “We thought it’s a good idea to offer them some good food.”
